Addressing food insecurity in our community and
eliminating commercial food waste.
How it Works
Feed-Well Fridges are placed in areas where residents in need often lack access to fresh food options.
Residents in need are free to take any food they want and leave what they don’t.
Volunteers
Teams of volunteers are crucial to this program's success.
Volunteers work daily with restaurants, grocery stores and other commercial food businesses to collect unsold food and pre-packaged meals, which are then delivered to each Feed-Well Fridge.
Volunteers work to ensure fridges are clean and that all food and meals are properly dated, labeled and disposed of as needed.
We are also partnering with local farmers to stock the community fridges with fresh produce, eggs and fruit.
Together, let’s make a difference! Eliminate hunger and help the planet!
Farmers and Restaurants
Every year, restaurants toss thousands of pounds of perfectly good food into the trash.
Through the Feed-Well Fridges program, local restaurants now have a way to re-distribute prepared food and meals to people in need and help to reduce their carbon footprint by diverting food waste from landfills. We also welcome donations, including imperfect produce from local farmers!
